During my studio exploratory sessions last month, I was practicing ways of making shorter improvisations. I also added a new challenge, and that was to create rhythm with pitch, rather than percussive elements.

For this month's track, you can hear how I have utilised natural and artificial harmonics on the violin to create a groove. This groove is fluid and was lovely to improvise melodies over.

I hope you enjoy this month's experiment! I have already performed and recorded a whole bunch of exciting new instrumental improvisations that will come together very soon to form my next special collection of new music. Can't wait to show you!
