Every time I play a live show I improvise a piece completely from scratch. These improvisations are full of life and raw energy and go on an unexpected little journey. Sometimes they're great! Sometimes they're mediocre.

I decided to record these improvisations on my lo-fi Zoom recorder so that these spontaneous little moments aren't lost forever. I share them with you now so that you can relive our time together in a dark music venue, surrounded by friends/family, going on an adventure together with nothing but a violin and some effects.

Pay As You Like - every little bit counts and goes towards me keeping on keeping on.

In addition to this music, my talented little sister Meg Kolac has created limited edition prints to go with the improvisations. I sent Meg my improvisation and she illustrated to the sound of the music. These prints are "lo-fi" too, in keeping with the theme of spontaneity and rawness. All proceeds from the limited edition prints go to Meg so that she can also keep on keeping on. You can purchase these prints from the merch section of this website.

I wholeheartedly hope that you enjoy these collaborations. We certainly did!
